The 2025 “Run with Yiwu” Global Youth Business Programme successfully held two training sessions in Yiwu in early and mid-August. The programme attracted over 50 outstanding young entrepreneurs and emerging business leaders from Latin American and Pacific Island countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Tonga, Micronesia, and Fiji, etc.
Over the course of the programme, participants took part in a dynamic mix of learning activities—including site visits, cultural experiences, interactive discussions, and enterprise internships—designed to leverage Yiwu’s strengths as an open and globally connected hub of trade and innovation. During their stay, the young entrepreneurs visited key landmarks and industries such as the Yiwu Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Yiwu International Trade Market, Yiwu Suxi International Port Hub, and Suxi Industrial Park. They also held heated discussions to share their insights and experience in the field of commerce and logistics.

The closing ceremony on August 22, 2025, was graced by distinguished guests, including H.E. Mr. Tauaika Utaatu, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Tongato China; H.E. Mr. KS Vincent Sivas, Ambassador of the Federated States of Micronesia to China; and H.E. Mr. Robert Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to China. The programme was held with the support and guidance of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Zhejiang People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, underscoring the importance of international friendship and youth exchange.
By connecting young entrepreneurs from around the globe with Yiwu’s vibrant business environment, the 2025 “Run with Yiwu” Global Youth Business Programme has not only strengthened bonds of friendship but also opened new pathways for cross-cultural innovation and cooperation.
