THE West Kalimantan Province launched three applications, namely KAPUAS, PRIMA, and SMART to ensure it continuously delivers better services to local people. Each of the app functions differently, but ultimately contribute to the better performance for the people.
KAPUAS
This is an application to support local government of Kalimantan Province in accelerating administrative procedure internally. Faster process and finalisation of the document will help faster execution as well as decision making process.
PRIMA
Standing for “Profesional, Responsif, Integritas, Melayani, Akuntabel” (professional, responsive, integrity, serving, accountable), PRIMA is an application to ensure services delivered to local people are faster, cheaper, and more transparent.
SMART
This application is designated as a tool for local people to share their complaints, comments, as well as information on the violation of the local regulation. Providing this platform, local government of West Kalimantan Province expects that voices from local people can be responded in timely manner. This application and service is also related to the complaint and reporting service by Civil Service Police Unit. The launch of SMART application was conducted in conjunction with the anniversary of the province’s Civil Service Police Unit.
Amidst challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, local government of West Kalimantan Province has shown achievements in delivering public services. According to the assessment (for service delivery in 2020) conducted by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia, the province (Regional Revenue Service unit) was awarded with “Excellent” and nestled at the second place in national level. West Kalimantan is also an active province in the LOCALISE SDGs programme implemented by UCLG ASPAC with support of EU. They have been involved in various workshop and capacity building activities.
