ON the occasion of the 2015 IndoWater 2015 Expo & Forum to be held at the Jakarta Convention Center from 27-29 May, UCLG ASPAC will carry its seminar on “Smart Cities towards Urban Safety” and its Coordination Meeting. Both the seminar and the Coordination Meeting will take place on 27 May 2015.
On the recently-held IndoWater Press Conference, Khairul Mahadi, UCLG ASPAC Senior Advisor of Programme Development and Collaboration, introduced to the public the main issue that will be discussed during the seminar, which is to promote the importance of sustainable urban development, protection of environment and conservation of natural resources. The organization supports measures in environmental improvement through good governance practices, technology transfer, and improved financing system.
UCLG ASPAC will also give the opportunity to cities to share experiences related to how technology can improve the service of local government.
Around 500 companies are expected to participate to the Expo to introduce to the visitors their products and vision. (MH)
