As part of the international community, the Executive Bureau of UCLG ASPAC has recently released the statement during the meeting held in Makati to facilitate the support of members for immediate rescue and relief, to support the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the long-term, and to continue building strong local government action in disaster mitigation, prevention, recovery through capacity building, in line with the Sendai Framework of Action.
The Secretary General thanked the members who have extended their support to the people in Nepal and highlighted that UCLG ASPAC would continue coordinate with members in Nepal to ensure the support reaches the victims.
