ONE of the attendees of the Retreat was Guillermo Tapia, Secretary General of the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Local Governments (FLACMA).“We tried to fortify the relation with the other regions,” said Mr. Tapia. “It’s important to work closely together because we have the opportunity to more easily solve problems.
”Responding to the idea of the South-South Bulletin proposed by the Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC at the retreat, Mr. Tapia thinks it’s a very good idea to establish communications between ASPAC and other regions and sections of UCLG. It’s a good mechanism to show how and what to do to work together. He continued by saying that in UCLG FLACMA, they are trying to develop a Digital Daily to capture all activities to show to the other sections.”
