In Memoriam, Dr. Rudolf Hauter

With deep sorrow, we inform you the sad demise of Dr. Rudolf Hauter, the former Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC. He passed away on Sunday, 30th June 2013 at 3.32 am MEST in Wuerzburg, Germany, after his long battle with cancer.

Dr. Rudolf Hauter held the position of the Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC from October 2010 – May 2013 and had the overall responsibility of managing the activities and programs of the Asia-Pacific Section of UCLG.

During his term, Dr. Hauter was able to enhance better cooperation and collaboration between members of UCLG ASPAC and strategic partners, including the European funding agencies.

We highly valued his dedication to this organisation and he will be missed by all of us, members and partners of UCLG ASPAC.

Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and sadness are with him and his family.
