AN international conference on 2015 Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum will be held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. A notification about this upcoming event has been just issued by Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Graham Quirk, and an invitation has also been sent to UCLG ASPAC.
“We would be delighted if you or a representative from your organisation can lead a delegation to the 2015APCS. I would also be appreciative if you could convey information about the Summit through your organisation’s network and promotional channels,” wrote Garth Henderson, Senior International Project Leader from Lord Mayor’s Administration Office in a statement recently.
2015APCS is an invaluable opportunity to access the key influencers and decision-makers of the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The summit connects government leaders and enterprise, drives business opportunities and promotes global best practice in sustaining and governing growing cities. The overarching theme of this global gathering is ‘business and leadership in the Asia Pacific’.
Four program themes will be addressed by international government and industry experts on critical issues affecting cities. “This outstanding four day event is not to be missed. Explore the summit theme of ‘Business and Leadership in the Asia Pacific’ and program themes: ‘Global Cities’, ‘Future Cities’, ‘Digital Cities’ and ‘Cities for People’,” Henderson adds.

He adds that these mayors and city leaders that have committed have responsibility for leading a combined urban population of 330 million from across The Americas, Australasia, East Asia, Middle East, North-East Asia, South-East Asia and South Asia.
Registrations are now officially open and participants are strongly advised to register early in order to secure attendance. There are some generous savings by registering as an early-bird (end 29 May 2015).
Brisbane local committee also offer reduced rates for Group Registrations of five (5) or more people.

“We hope a delegation from UCLG-ASPAC can attend the Summit,” Henderson concludes.
