This is a prize for local governments that have implemented initiatives in conflict prevention, conflict resolution or peace building, that are proven to have had a significant impact. The shortlisted local governments will be invited to the award ceremony during the UCLG World Congress in October 2016 in Colombia, and the winning local government will receive an award of €20.000. Hence, this can be a nice opportunity for local governments active in peace building.
