Registration for the World Masters Athletics Championships Daegu 2026 (“WMAC 2026”) is set to begin
The Local Organising Committee of the World Masters Athletics Championships Daegu 2026 (“LOC”) officially announced that registration was opened on December 23, 2025 and closed on June 23, 2026, through the official website.
The WMAC 2026 will take place from August 22 to September 3, 2026, for 13 days at Daegu Stadium and 6 venues. The Championships will feature a total of 34 events, including 17 track events, 11 field events, and 6 road events.
Anyone aged 35 or above who is physically fit is eligible to participate in the Championships, which will be organised in five-year age groups so that athletes can compete with others around their age.
Participants will receive a complimentary public transportation card, considering they are responsible for covering their own expenses, including flights, accommodation, registration, etc..
Official sponsor JumLab will provide knee and wrist support bands to the first 500 athletes who complete their registration (this special offer will end on March 31, 2026), and the other special offer, which is announced on the official accommodation website, is also so on.
For detailed information on the registration process, it is provided in the “Entry Handbook.” The Entry Handbook is available for download on the official Championships website.
LOC Secretary General Kihoon CHIN concluded by saying:
“Our commitment will continue to enhance both national and city branding, strengthen awareness by delivering the finest Championships as a true World Athletics City, and ensure that participants will truly remember the feeling they had in Daegu.”
