Mualimin said that this Task Force would encourage the implementation of respect, protection, fulfillment, enforcement, and promotion of human rights in the business sector in West Kalimantan. “It is hoped that GTD BHAM can improve coordination between the provincial government agency and companies in West Kalimantan to strengthen the mainstreaming of business and human rights at the regional level. As for GTD, it can conduct dissemination and workshop regarding business and human rights, increase company awareness in the region on business and human rights, and helps monitor business and human rights efforts in regions, especially in West Kalimantan,” he said at the event.

He considered this important because human right-based public service delivery is based on the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 53 of 2021 on the National Action Plan for Human Rights 2021 – 2025.
The Governor of West Kalimantan welcomed the implementation of human rights values, especially regarding labour rights.
