We are so pleased to announce that our Secretariat has officially moved to its new office at Jakarta’s City Hall, on November 13th, 2013. Following the DELGOSEA’s Regional Workshop closing, Vice Governor of Jakarta, Mr. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, inaugurated the new Secretariat. It is located in the third floor of B Building, Jakarta’s City Hall complex.
The inauguration was hosted by Jakarta Capital City Government at Balai Agung, City Hall, and attended by UCLG ASPAC’s members and partners. While visiting the new Secretariat, the Vice Governor shared a brief history upon the room. “I used to work in this office. Now that I moved to another floor of this building, UCLG ASPAC shall utilize it,” said the Vice Governor
Aside from the office space, our new Secretariat is also equipped by a well-designed meeting room. “This room is even prettier than what I have right now,” he teasingfully added. The inaugural event was also coloured by cultural performances. “It is not just a ceremonial inauguration. But most importantly, it is a celebration of friendship and mutual partnership,” one Thai delegate testified.
Strategically positioned in the heart of Jakarta and surrounded by Indonesian governmental buildings, UCLG ASPACSecretary General hopes that the closer presence of UCLG ASPAC may bring more prospective partnership in the near future.
