THE Local Development Programme of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) will conduct a new session of its online courses on The SymbioCity Approach: Achieving Urban Sustainability in Asian Cities, from 12 November to 15 February 2013.
The e-learning course, based on the Swedish SKL International approach to sustainable urban development, aims at contributing to sustainable urban development in the Asia-Pacific Region (five target countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam) by supplying urban planners, environmental managers, project managers and other technical staff with knowledge, tools and methodologies to enhance their capacity to build sustainable urban environments. Participants will work together in teams on concrete solutions through the use of tools and methods in order to address their city’s specific urbanization.
