DSC_3919_copyIn this project Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), 3 national Local Government Associations (APKASI,(Indonesia) ACVN (Vietnam) and NLC/S (Cambodia) and 2 local NGOs (TEI and LOGODEF) deeply involved for years in research, consulting, capacity building and exchange activities on local governance in the region, are going to jointly spread experiences from innovative models of peoples participation, inclusive service delivery and institutional governance in major countries of South East Asia.

The activities aim at setting up partnerships and networking between Non State Actors (NSAs) – including Academic Institutions – and Local Governments with focus on the partner countries (South-South). They include the promotion of adapted replications of best practice examples and success stories in democratic local governance throughout the region, facilitate interaction and exchanges between State- and Non-State Actors and reinforce the role of NSAs and Local Governments in decentralisation processes. At the core of the action are capacity-building activities for the LGAs of the countries and for different stakeholders and target groups in the municipalities involved.
