UCLG ASPAC is now in cooperation with the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) to promote a global Campaign “Making Cities Resilient” in Asia Pacific. One of the activities in promoting the campaign is dissemination of the Local Government Self Assessment Tool (LGSAT) to particular countries.
For this purpose, UCLG ASPAC has translated the document into Chinese and Nepali language to be further disseminated to members in both countries.
The LGSAT provides key questions and measurements against the Ten Essentials for Making Cities Resilient on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). The LGSAT will help cities and local actors to set baselines, identify gaps and have comparable data across local governments, within the country and globally, to measure advancements over time.
