Our secretariat team welcomed the delegation of Federation of Sri Lankan Local Government Authorities (FSLGA) in Jakarta. On monday morning, 28 delegates arrived at our headquarter willing to have better knowledge about local development.
The session was commenced by a warm greeting by our Manager of Finance and Administration, Ms. Stefana Ruri, followed by a presentation of UCLG ASPAC introduction, delivered by Ms. Nurina Savitri, Manager of Communication and information.
Local development is indeed an important yet attractive issue to be discussed. Most of delegates were willing to find out more about the possibility of having further partnership among regions.
As UCLG ASPAC is currently developing DELGOSEA network, the Sri Lankan delegates have also shown their interest in this project and are looking forward to develop a similar scheme. The delegates also welcomed UCLG ASPAC initiative on expanding this sort of intense network.
The visit was organized by APEKSI (Association of Indonesian Municipalities) and supported by UCLG ASPAC. Prior to UCLG ASPAC Secretariat visit, FSLGA had also initiated a visit to Surabaya City, in early of 2013.
