The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) under the aegis of the “Making Cities Resilient” Campaign and on behalf of all its partners is calling for INPUT PAPERs to the “State of DRR at the Local Level” – a 2015 report on the patterns of Disaster Risk Reduction Actions at Local Level.
The purpose of this ‘Call’ is to encourage more research and consolidate available knowledge on the patterns of local risk reduction actions including factors that enable successful disaster resilience at local level.
The report will be published prior to the World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, and intends to define ‘local disaster resilience’ in view of the rising population, increasing exposure.
Individuals and institutions interested applicants need to submit their input papers to “isdr-campaign@un.org” latest by October 31st 2013.
All final papers will be made available online and annex to the printed report. Further, UNISDR will coordinate the submission of all final papers to the academic journal “International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment.”
