The Regional Consultation is a preparatory meeting of the Annual Ministerial Review (AMR) which is a key function of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) established by Heads of State and Government at the 2005 World Summit. The theme for the 2013 ECOSOC AMR,to be held in July in Geneva, is ‘;Science, technology and innovation, and the potential of culture, for promoting sustainable development and achieving the Millennium Development Goals’.
