To meet the diverse and growing demands of its residents for sports activities, Shijiazhuang has adhered to the principle of “addressing deficiencies” and continuously promoted the low-carbon, eco-friendly, sustainable, and high-quality development of public fitness. In recent years, the city has updated 4,960 sports facilities, achieving comprehensive coverage in parks, squares, and community sports areas. By utilising spaces freed up from the demolition of illegal structures, as well as parks, green spaces, and idle lands along streets, Shijiazhuang has established 817 sports venues, including various ball game courts. Additionally, the city has built or upgraded 53 sports parks, achieving full coverage at the county level, effectively meeting residents’ needs for nearby fitness activities.
High-quality venues such as the Shijiazhuang Tennis Centre, Shijiazhuang Sports Park, Central Green Sports Park, and Shiguang Smart Sports Park have been constructed and put into use. These new facilities have significantly enriched the availability of sports facilities for citizens, enhanced their sense of fulfilment and happiness.
