Governors Association of Korea (GAOK)

Established in 1999, Governors Association of Korea consists of mayors and governors of the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces and is committed to creating a livable country for all citizens and revitalize local governments by promoting healthy local governments through decentralization.

Local governments are in the position of executing policies onsite, so they are capable to do a lot more effective work than the central government.

It is time now that the central government assures the autonomy of the local governments based on credibility.
