환영 : 새로운 직원, 인턴, 파견자

UCLG ASPAC welcomed this month new staff, secondee and interns: Nanda Sihombing, Nora Wen Jun, Maria Magdalena and Yakin Rizwanul.

With an expertise in local governance issues, Ms. Nanda Sihombing was appointed as the new Strategic Services Officer. Before joining UCLG ASPAC, she worked at the Center for Regional Information and Studies (PATTIRO) in Indonesia as an Open Government Specialist. She will get involved in various programmes and projects, one of them is DELGOSEA.

“I am excited about finding creative and innovative solutions, as well as maximizing the existing potential of the DELGOSEA Network through good practices of its members,” she said.

Flying from Guangzhou, Nora Wen Jun is our new secondee from People’s Republic of China. A principal staff member at the Guangzhou Port Authority, Nora’s term of secondment will be until the end of May this year.  “Hopefully my assignment at this office will strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Guangzhou and other cities,” she said, adding that she would also volunteer for a school in North Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Maria Magdalena and Yakin Rizwanul have joined the Secretariat as the new interns. Yakin is currently completing his Master’s in Management at the University of Paramadina in Jakarta, Indonesia.   He has joined the Capacity Development and Training Division that is in line with his passion and past experiences. “I would like to communicate across cultural barriers. I consider this internship programme as a great gateway to open my horizon globally and build relevant skills in the era of globalization,” he said.

Our other intern, Maria Magdalena, is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management at the University of Indonesia. She has joined the Member Services Division that matches with her interest in international cooperation.

“I am very interested in some of the projects and programmes implemented by UCLG ASPAC, such as eco-tourism, resilience, environment, and waste management,” she said.

We are honoured to have Nanda, Nora, Yakin and Maria at the Secretariat. We are looking forward to their valuable contributions to the Organization and the ASPAC community!
