SDG Localization Survey (HLPF 2019)

Local actions are indispensable in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) will once again report to the High Level Political Forum of the United Nations, on the role of local and regional governments in the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals. The report will be presented on behalf of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, of which UCLG is a member.

This year the call is especially important, as the Heads of State will for the first time review the SDG Agenda in September. We therefore ask all of you to either complete the survey yourself or reach out to your partners in the field. The survey is directed at national associations of local governments, as well as individual local governments. All information, stories, experiences and practices from local and regional governments are essential to build a reliable and effective report that captures the value of Local and Regional Governments’ contributions to the SDG localization process. Especially the countries below are relevant, as they are officially reporting to the UN this year.

Joint our online global survey before 25 April 2019. You may either download the survey or complete it online. The filled-in survey can be send to the following address: gold@uclg.org.
