The UCLG ASPAC Secretariat would like to congratulate Changwon City (Republic of Korea) for winning second place at the 2014 United Nations Public Service Awards from Asia and the Pacific region.
Changwon City won with its initiative ‘Building The Best Neighborhood Project’.
The awards have 4 Categories, with Changwon city winning in Category 2 (Fostering Participation in Public Policy: making decisions through innovative mechanisms). There were only three winners in this category, with Thailand’s Ministry of Health and Brazil’s Ministry of Planning the other winners. The awards ceremony will be held on 26 June in Seoul, Korea during UN Public Service Forum.
