UCLG RETREAT AND CAMPUS ASIA PACIFIC PRIORITIES FEEDING THE AGENDA

UCLG Retreat and Campus is an annual event held by the UCLG WORLD, and this year, the 7th   UCLG Retreat and Campus was held on the 15-22 February 2021. Carrying the theme “A Global Community That Cares” this year event is aimed to gives the opportunity to all members to discuss how to capitalize this window of opportunity, to exchange on how our communities are working for the people, for the planet, for government, and for the future.

On the 3rd day of the event, UCLG ASPAC has contributed to share the about the Manifesto 2021-2025. Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC, Dr. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi, on this opportunity also introduced the CRIC Project (Climate Resilience and Inclusive Cities), a project that is intended to advance climate resilience strategies through integrated planning. Other issues that were mentioned during the session are Gender equality, migration in the region, strengthening the linkages between the recovery and SDG Localization, and another issue that is considered also important and is identified as a priority is strengthening joint collaboration between regional section.

In regards of the Manifesto 2021-2025, the Manifesto is a second edition of Manifesto that has been prepared by UCLG ASPAC. In order to achieve the final draft of the Manifesto 2021-2025, several meetings had been organized virtually.

The event was participated by members of UCLG all around the world and especially from the Asia Pacific region.
