China Railway International inform that a high-speed train and an inspection train for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project has arrived at the Indonesian port of Jakarta. The 350 km/h Fuxing high-speed trains, from China, served as the advanced and mature technology for the trains.
The trains, which followed Chinese standards, were presented in Qingdao, Shandong province. Then, it will be delivered by road to a Bandung high-speed rail station in Bandung. Bundling and other testing work will be done on site, after the trains delivered to the local operator. There will be 11 in total of bullet trains and an inspection train, designed and developed by CRRC Qingdao Co., Ltd., which also adjusting its operation to better suit the routes and local environment in Indonesia, in order to provide customers with more comfortable travel experience.
By 2023, Indonesia will receive the remaining 10 bullet trains.
The high-speed line between Jakarta and Bandung is the first foreign rail project in China to fully use Chinese standards and technology. Indeed, it represents a turning point for China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
