11th IPOD Award “Best Practice in Citizen Participation”

The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) invites local governments (members of the observatory) to apply for the Distinction given annually to recognize participatory experiences around the world. The Distinction seeks to recognize innovative experiences in the field of participatory democracy, coordinated by local governments, which may be susceptible to reply.

Candidatures should be formalized sending an email to oidp@bcn.cat with next documents:

  • the application form completed (Word Format)
  • a brief summary of the project (maximum 2 pages – Word Format) which will be published in the final document of the distinction
  • Pictures of the experience

The deadline for submitting applications is the 31th January 2017.

* We recommend that cities wishing to submit an application read carefully the documents (award convocation criteria and eligibility criteria)

** In addition to mandatory documentation, also can be presented as optional material documents (minutes of meetings, reports, evaluations …), videos…
